Install check dams on the eroded Pine Trail in the Big Creek Scenic Area by digging dirt, using wagon the transport dirt to trail, use digging tools to install bollard post across the trail to stop water flow, so it can deposit dirt onto trail.

All volunteers must have a approved Volunteer Service Agreement (VSA) in place.  If you had a VSA in 2025 you are covered for FS fiscal year 2026 (Oct-Sept).  Don't have a current VSA?  Complete the online form prior to the workday.

The Sam Houston Trails Coalition follows U.S. Forest Service Health and Safety Code policies when working on National Forest lands. Alcohol and firearms are prohibited during volunteer workdays.
