    General volunteers needed.  We will sweep through all of the Westside MUT trails for exposed roots to remove/cover and faceslappers.  We are in the homestretch of getting the trails reopened.  If you can bring an ATV or UTV (under 50") that will be a HUGE help with carrying tools.

    Bring fluids for hydration, snacks, and a lunch.  Stay for as long as you are able.  Standard PPE includes long pants and shirts, boots, and gloves.  Eye and ear protection will be provided.  

    All volunteers must have a 2024 approved Volunteer Service Agreement (VSA) in place.  Keep a copy with you on the workday.  Don't have a current VSA?  Get the form here:  USFS VSA  Fill out the front and back, sign it, and email it to heather.spencer@usda.gov for approval.  Allow 48 hours for turn around.

    Meet up at LSHT and Osborn Rd to mow/clear the trail back to the bridge over Caney Creek.  If time allows, we will also mow West of Osborn Rd.

    Meet at trailhead parking lot. Ride bikes/trailer out to clear 5 trees from the north end of the closed HL South section. Cut low hanging yaupon and do general brushing of trail. Fill in a large root ball hole.  This workday should cover and clear the last area of uncut Beryl trees.

    • N Raven Trail and Ironhorse Loop

    Contractor + volunteer project to do critical repairs so these trails can be reopened.  In addition 500' of tread hardening will be installed to address chronic wet areas and make the trails more weather tolerant.
